In India alone, a perusal of job searching platforms like Naukri, Indeed, LinkedIn and Angel List reveal that there are over 20,000 open Android Developer jobs today. Survey of nearly 9000 professionals in the US who are about to change their jobs, revealed that nearly 1 out of 3 people cited a lack of opportunity for development to be the primary reason to shift out of their current careers.

Android is synonymous with smartphones. It’s the most popular mobile operating system in the world, powering more than 2.5 billion active devices. However, a lot of people don’t know that the OS wasn’t originally designed for phones. Android — revealed that Android was originally made for digital cameras. The plan was to create a camera platform that would include cloud storage for images and videos.
